For the start of Sprint #4, which is also our very last sprint, we are planning to collate the final design into our application and do some debugging plus validation to ensure that the application has good user experience and fulfills whatever we had promised at the start. The features that we are focusing on this week would be: - Canteen Crowded-ness
- Weather
- WalkShare
- Bus timing
- Announcement Page
To touch up on these features and ensure that all of them are working fine. The WalkShare would include sending out message/emails to the volunteers who have registered and whose emails are recorded on the FireBase database. The program will send out a mass email to all of the registered emails to ask for help for the individual, volunteers who are willing to help can then reply to the email for further communication.
Firstly, the project has to be connected to Firebase, the different components has to be imported for the libraries to be called. Then the URL has to be linked to the project to allow connection to the Firebase and for the data in it to be read and written in. A problem faced with this feature is that Unity on Mac does not realize that the library for the database is actually in the folder itself. Hence, we have to manually reroute the path to a different one before the error shows again. Also, the canteen crowd feature is able to include the different foodcourts wifi users.
